You want to snack quickly ... But everything that is fast is often very unhealthy or rather pricey. Think of that delicious healthy date and nut bars that you can now get in more and more supermarkets; however, these bars are often on the expensive side.

You can make this yourself a lot easier, cheaper and just as delicious. This recipe is made in an instant, so you can still your snack attacks in the coming days with a healthy and strong snack. Definitely one of my personal favorites, and I hope you are just as convinced after trying this recipe!

Necessities

Food processor/bar mixer mill
Baking pan

Ingredients

180 grams of dried figs
200 grams of medjool dates
20 grams of peanut butter
50 millliter alpro coconut original
50 grams of oatmeal
1 teaspoon vanilla flavor
20 grams of sesame seeds
15 grams of coconut grater

Preparation method

  1. You should always roast the nuts and seeds to get as much flavor as possible from the product. Grab a dry frying pan and toast the sesame seeds golden brown in 3 to 5 minutes. You can see the seeds 'jumping' from the heat and then they are ready. Keep shaking the pan well so that the sesame seeds do not burn.
  2. Remove the dates from their kernels and the figs from the wooden end of the stalk.
  3. Add all ingredients, except the sesame seeds and the ground coconut, in a food processor or a mixer blender and blend everything until you get an even mass. All ingredients must be finely ground; there is now a thick sticky mass.
  4. Turn 12 balls of the date/fig mixture. Before turning the balls, make your finger a little wet with water, so that the mixture does not stick to your fingers, but you can make nice equal balls of it.
  5. Roll 6 balls through the roasted sesame seeds and roll the other 6 through the crushed coconut. Let the balls stiffen in the refrigerator for half an hour before you eat them. And then the enjoyment is blown!

Tips:

  • You can replace the figs for all the other dried fruit that you like. Do you like apricots or plums more? Then you can use this fine!
  • You can roll the balls through them, for example cocoa powder, ground nuts, chia seeds or flax seeds.
  • The Alpro Coconut Original can be substituted for any 'milk-like' substance, for example by soy milk, almond milk or regular cow's milk.
